Once again, a day late… You know the rest.
Thursday was a good day. I did my first double in a while. I used to do this pretty frequently, but haven’t really had the opportunity lately. I started off with running on the treadmill. Here are the details from my run:
Once I was done running, I headed to the pool. It has been a long time since I have swam and, that being the case, I kept it short and easy. Here is what I did:
So, 750 yards total. Not bad, but I took it pretty easy. The whole swim only took about 20 minutes or so. If you looked at the schedule/calendar I posted yesterday, I will be swimming on a much more regular basis starting next week. I think this will REALLY help my endurance and overall fitness – thus it will help me run faster.
On a side note, if you are interested, here are flippers I use when I swim:
So far, I really like them. The only downside is that they do give me small blisters on the top of my second toes (both feet) – ouch! It’ll get better with more use as my feet get used to them. My parents were nice enough to give me these for Christmas – Thanks Mom & Dad!!!
Have a great day!

OK, I finally was able to get a little time to plan out my training schedule for the next 27 weeks (until October 7, 2007 – the Twin Cities Marathon). I put the whole schedule into Google Calendar and man, is that ever slick! The actual training plan starts on April 1st, so you’ll need to move forward to April to actually see the events. Here it is:
Let me know what you think, I’m interested to hear anyone’s thoughts on my plan. This is training schedule is actually taken from Hal Higdon and modified slightly. I think, based on the time I have available, that this is doable.
Thanks for reading!
FYI, I just noticed – I’m HALF-WAY through my 30 day blogging challenge. Not all the posts have been great (like yesterday’s) but at least I’m making the effort to get something out there! I’d love more comments!

I want to find a good jogging stroller. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Great run at lunch today. The weather was beautiful (low 70′s) and this was my FIRST run outside of the spring. All winter long I have been stuck behind the bars of a treadmill, today I was able to break free! Here are the details from my Polar F6:

On a totally different note, here is the book I am currently reading:
Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide
I’m hoping to use this as the basis for my marathon training this summer… I’ll do a book review when I am done with it!
Hope you enjoy your day!
