Jacko

“Michael knows the truth — that he is not the natural father of Prince Michael Jr. and Paris,” Rowe said, according to the Irish newspaper Sunday World. “He has to come clean.”

Report: Jackson’s ex says he didn’t father kids – Gossip: The Scoop – MSNBC.com

I don’t think this article is going to send shock waves acrros the nation. Come on, did anyone actually believe that these were his kids? This just furthers my belief that the entire Jackson family is insane.

Kiss of Death

This article, Kiss steals the life of a girl with an allergy actually tells the tragic tale of a 15 year old girl who died from an allergic reaction to peanuts. She was exposed to the deadly allergen by kissing her boyfriend after he had eaten a product containing peanuts. Having a son with peanut allergies (which he has now outgrown), this really hits home. Allergies are serious business… You can never be too careful.Kiss of death indeed.

Flock – Flock to it!

Flock is my new favorite toy. It brings blogging, digital photos, and social bookmarking together in a neat simple package. I think this is the best thing since sliced bread (I actually prefer non-sliced bread, but the saying make more sense this way). Anywho, you should really check it out – be warned, it is still in pre-beta so be ready for a bumpy ride.

FreeMind – Mind Mapping

FreeMind – free mind mapping softwareFreeMind is a premier free mind-mapping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_map) software written in Java. The recent development has hopefully turned it into high productivity tool. We are proud that the operation and navigation of FreeMind is faster than that of MindManager because of one-click “fold / unfold” and “follow link” operations. So you want to write a completely new metaphysics? Why don’t you use FreeMind? You have a tool at hand that remarkably resembles the tray slips of Robert Pirsig, described in his sequel to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance called Lila. Do you want to refactor your essays in a similar way you would refactor software? Or do you want to keep personal knowledge base, which is easy to manage? Why don’t you try FreeMind? Do you want to prioritize, know where you are, where you’ve been and where you are heading, as Stephen Covey would advise you? Have you tried FreeMind to keep track of all the things that are needed for that?

This is interesting to me… I have been spending sometime working with this software and I am intregued to see where it takes me. I see some parallels to Flock and del.icio.us and FreeMind – a more free flowing way of organizing and sharing thoughts and ideas. Where it’ll take me, I’m not sure, but I will try and post some of my “Mind Maps” here once i get a better grip on the software and how it works.

Additonally, I think that there is an opportunity for some sort of Flock/del.icio.us/FreeMind extension or integration. Not sure how, why, or what it will look like, but my wheels are turning. If you have any ideas, feel free to let me know – maybe we can work out hte details together…
